Description: 9th Avenue Exploitation is absolutely mad about all things Madigan - Helen Madigan, that is, the groupie-girl extraordinaire of Seventies porn. One of the stock regulars of Gotham's Golden Age adult scene (she was Marc 10 1/2 Steven's best friend and roommate), Helen Madigan's chipmunk-cute Irish kisser and I fuck for fun! sensibility found their way into roughly fifty feckless features, most of them shot in NYC but a few lensed in her native California. Possessed (aka Possession) is a rare example of the later, occult sex with strangely unsettling racial undercurrents as well. Rose (Helen Madigan) and her husband Adam (well played by an unknown British actor) have recently moved to the Hollywood Hills, where Adam is pursuing a career as a talent agent. While her husband screws every would-be chanteuse who walks through his office door, Rose keeps hearing frightening noises and experiencing strange erotic sensations around the house. What appears to be a recurring fantasy, however, in which she gets fucked by a black stud quickly reveals itself to be a visitation from a funky doppelganger who fondles Rose under the impression that she is the spirit of a black woman named Ruth. As if that wasn't enough, Adam finally gets caught up in this spectral game of who's-who, leading to an eerily surreal and open-ended climax.
